We are considering trying out your scalability plugin on a pretty big and high traffic recipe site.

Are there any risks using the plugin?

Does the plugin alter the database so it can not be removed again after install?

The plugin gives you an option to create/delete indexes. So, if you install then create then delete the indexes then deactivate the plugin then you are back to exactly how your database was before you installed.
