Faster XML Sitemap Generation

XML sitemap plugins list every published post or product, usually sorted by last-modified date and fetched a few thousand at a time. On a large site, each of those batches can make MySQL read and sort the whole posts table, so sitemap generation slows down as the site grows and can time out entirely.

The Indexes tab includes wpi_scalability_pro_sitemaps, an index on the posts table covering post status, post password, post type and last-modified date. Those are exactly the columns a sitemap query filters and sorts on, so MySQL can read the rows in the right order from the index instead of sorting the whole table. It helps Super Speedy Sitemaps and other sitemap plugins that query the posts table the same way.

Create it along with the rest of the indexes: open the Indexes tab, click Select All, then create or update the indexes.
