Undoing an import
Super Speedy Imports doesn’t provide built-in rollback that restores the values an import overwrote. Choose the recovery method according to what you need to recover: discarded preview content, unwanted records, trashed items or earlier field values.
Choose the right recovery action
| What you need | What to do | What it does not do |
|---|---|---|
| Remove a first-item draft preview | Use the preview’s discard control | Does not reverse a full import |
| Remove records associated with an import | Use that import’s Delete all … loaded by this import link after checking its confirmation | Does not restore earlier prices, descriptions or other values |
| Recover items in Trash | Review them in WordPress and restore the intended records | Does not reverse field changes made before trashing |
| Restore values overwritten by an import | Restore an appropriate backup, or prepare a checked corrective import from the original data | Removing the import configuration cannot recover those values |
Before removing imported records
Open the selected import and read the removal confirmation. It explains whether the operation moves records to Trash or permanently deletes them. The scope is the records associated with the import, which can include records it updated as well as created.
Delete all covers every item the import loaded, including sold products: Keep sold items protects products only from delete-missing. When the run finishes, the completion screen and the run’s History record show how many items went to the Trash and how many were deleted permanently.
Deleting the saved import configuration is a separate operation. It is not a way to remove imported content or reverse changes. Read Trashed items and deletes before choosing a removal action.
Recover overwritten values
If a run changed prices, descriptions or other fields, use data that contains the values you want back. Check whether a backup restore would also replace newer orders or edits before restoring a whole site. Test the recovery on a copy when the scope is uncertain.
A corrective import can update specific fields when you have the original data and reliable matching identifiers. Review those mappings and leave delete-missing disabled unless you intend its effect. It is a new import, not a reversal of every action the earlier run performed.
Check a draft before the next full run
Use Preview first item to create a separate draft of the first complete item. Inspect it through the review links and discard the preview afterwards. A preview writes draft content and related data; it isn’t a full-file check or an exact before-and-after view of updates to live records.
For a large update, also check the matching key, selected fields and missing-record policy. Keep a recoverable backup for changes where restoring earlier values matters.
