WooCommerce Filter Plugin Comparison: 100,000 products
Super Speedy Filters, WooCommerce core filters and HUSKY were tested on the same 100,000 simple products, with the same four filters and ten semantic request cases. Each configuration ran with Redis object caching off and on.
At 100,000 simple products, Super Speedy Filters recorded the lowest uncached first-pass TTFB and PHP render time. With Redis warm, WooCommerce core recorded the lowest second-pass TTFB, with Super Speedy Filters next and HUSKY third. Every configuration returned the expected product count for all 20 recorded requests.
Side-by-side request performance
| Plugin | Redis | Correct | First TTFB | Second TTFB | PHP render | DB queries | Peak PHP memory | CPU core-seconds |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Super Speedy Filters | Off | 20/20 | 257.100 ms | 357.000 ms | 208.672 ms | 99.20 | 17.60 MiB | 8.869 |
| Super Speedy Filters | On | 20/20 | 267.820 ms | 177.510 ms | 172.445 ms | 10.75 | 18.30 MiB | 7.506 |
| WooCommerce core filters | Off | 20/20 | 740.000 ms | 697.530 ms | 670.097 ms | 92.30 | 82.50 MiB | 21.148 |
| WooCommerce core filters | On | 20/20 | 448.030 ms | 130.520 ms | 230.890 ms | 4.10 | 17.50 MiB | 7.814 |
| HUSKY | Off | 20/20 | 1322.410 ms | 1300.300 ms | 1258.175 ms | 266.05 | 22.10 MiB | 47.131 |
| HUSKY | On | 20/20 | 886.180 ms | 412.290 ms | 592.772 ms | 24.90 | 24.55 MiB | 23.171 |
The second request is useful for observing warm-cache behaviour, but it is not a substitute for the first request. For uncached users, the first pass is the relevant figure. For stores with persistent object caching, both passes matter.
Site response during the workload

| WooCommerce core filters | Off | 509.467 ms | 183.967 ms |
| WooCommerce core filters | On | 149.933 ms | 220.667 ms |

What the result means
At 100,000 simple products, Super Speedy Filters recorded the lowest uncached first-pass TTFB and PHP render time. With Redis warm, WooCommerce core recorded the lowest second-pass TTFB, with Super Speedy Filters next and HUSKY third. These are performance results for a fixed configuration, not a complete feature comparison. WooCommerce core has no separate plugin cost, Super Speedy Filters is built for richer filter and SEO behaviour, and HUSKY has its own interface and feature trade-offs.
Method, versions and reproducibility
The catalogue contained 100,000 simple products. Each configuration ran the same ten semantic cases twice in a fixed order, starting with the shop page. The cases covered the shop, category, brand, colour, size and combined filters. Every recorded request returned the expected product count.
