FAQ

I get a fresh CSV in the same format every day. Do I rebuild the template each time?

No. Reuse the saved import with a file that has the same columns and stable matching values. Open the import and click Change Source beside its Source row: Upload a new file takes today’s file for this import, and Choose an uploaded file lists the files already uploaded, those with the same columns first. Uploading under the same name as the import’s current file also works, and the next run reads it. The previous copy is kept in the previous folder of the imports directory and the upload receipt names it. Every uploaded source file is kept; nothing is deleted automatically, so remove old copies from wp-content/uploads/super-speedy-imports/previous/ yourself when you no longer need them.

If the file is published at a URL, switch the import to the URL instead: open the import, click Change Source, choose Use a URL, enter the address and click Save and download. Every run then downloads the file again before it imports, on the browser, WP-CLI and scheduled runners. If a download has lost a column the import was set up with, the run stops before anything changes, names the column and keeps the previous file; added columns are fine. See Can SSI import from a URL or remote feed? for the details.

Schedules run a saved import on a timetable in the paid edition. WP-CLI can run a saved configuration against a different file with --file=/path/to/todays-file.csv. Check the sample values and matching if the supplier changes the file structure.
