Controlling Super Speedy Ajax Prices with MCP
Connect Super Speedy Ajax Prices to Codex or Claude Code and you can ask it to check the live-price transport, diagnose stale prices on cached pages, and adjust the configuration without guessing which layer is failing.
Requires Super Speedy Ajax Prices 1.10.1 or newer and WordPress 6.9 or newer.
Connect once for all Super Speedy plugins
MCP setup is shared across the Super Speedy range. You do not need a separate connection for Super Speedy Ajax Prices.
- Install any Super Speedy plugin, open Super Speedy, and enter your licence.
- Open Super Speedy > MCP setup.
- Generate the connection commands and copy the command for Codex or Claude Code.
- Paste it into your terminal, then restart the AI assistant.
The generated command uses a revocable WordPress Application Password. The same connection exposes the documented abilities from every active Super Speedy plugin.
Ask the assistant to read status and configuration first, then show the exact proposed change. Transport, plugin-loading and cart behaviour changes can affect the price a visitor sees.
Useful requests
- "Why are cached product pages showing stale prices?"
- "Check whether the Fast Ajax mu-plugin is installed and current."
- "Show me the effective transport and the plugins loaded for a price request."
- "Explain the risk before changing cart, stock or logged-in-user behaviour."
What the assistant should do
The assistant should start with the transport status and current configuration. It can distinguish an inactive master switch, missing WooCommerce, an outdated or absent Fast Ajax mu-plugin, and a configuration problem. It should explain the diagnosis and proposed change, request confirmation where required, then re-read status and configuration.
Where the symptom is visible only to a particular visitor, browser control can verify the final price in the relevant logged-in or cart state.
MCP abilities
| Ability | Purpose |
|---|---|
get-status | Report the effective transport, master switch, WooCommerce state and Fast Ajax mu-plugin health. |
get-config | Read supported settings, defaults, valid values and confirmation status. |
update-config | Update recognised settings using the normal validation rules. |
These abilities use the super-speedy-ajax-prices namespace and are discovered through the shared connection.
Safety
The abilities require ssap_manage, granted to administrators automatically. Explicit confirmation is required for transport, plugin allowlist, theme skipping, cart and stock behaviour, logged-in behaviour and uninstall data removal. The settings named disable_with_cart and disable_for_logged_in are inverted disable switches; the assistant must read their descriptions rather than infer their meaning from a desired outcome.
When MCP does not cover the task
Use browser control to reproduce cache, cart or account-specific behaviour. Restricted SSH can inspect the mu-plugin file, web-server cache rules or PHP logs when the structured status is not enough. Normal settings work should stay within MCP.
Troubleshooting the connection
- If the abilities are missing, activate or update Super Speedy Ajax Prices and restart the AI assistant.
- If command generation is unavailable, check HTTPS and WordPress Application Password support.
- If status and the browser disagree, test the same URL, login state, cart state and cache state before changing configuration.
