Super Speedy Coming Soon

Controlling Super Speedy Coming Soon with MCP

Published · Last updated

Connect Super Speedy Coming Soon to Codex or Claude Code and you can ask it to list gated products, review arrival dates and waitlist performance, and manage signup protections and provider settings without exposing secret keys.

Requires Super Speedy Coming Soon 1.7.3 or newer and WordPress 6.9 or newer.

Connect once for all Super Speedy plugins

MCP setup is shared across the Super Speedy range. You do not need a separate connection for Super Speedy Coming Soon.

  1. Install any Super Speedy plugin, open Super Speedy, and enter your licence.
  2. Open Super Speedy > MCP setup.
  3. Generate the connection commands and copy the command for Codex or Claude Code.
  4. Paste it into your terminal, then restart the AI assistant.

The setup page creates a revocable WordPress Application Password. The same connection exposes the documented abilities from every active Super Speedy plugin.

Separate product gating from form settings

MCP can report which products are gated and manage the shared signup configuration. Changing the Coming Soon state of an individual product remains a product-editing action.

Useful requests

  • "List all coming-soon products with arrival dates and signup counts."
  • "Which products have waitlists but no email provider configured?"
  • "Check the signup protections and tell me whether anything is unsafe."
  • "Rotate the MailerLite key without changing the rest of the configuration."

What the assistant should do

The assistant should list coming-soon products and read the shared configuration first. It can report product URLs, arrival dates, provider wiring and signup counts, then explain whether a shared setting needs attention. When rotating a key it should update only the supplied secret and verify that it remains set without attempting to read it back.

If the goal is to gate or ungate a product, the assistant should use an authorised product-editing route or browser control rather than pretending the plugin configuration ability changes product state.

MCP abilities

AbilityPurpose
list-coming-soonList gated products with URL, arrival date, provider wiring and signup count.
get-configRead supported form settings; secret keys are reported only as set or not set.
update-configUpdate recognised signup settings and rotate write-only credentials.

These abilities use the super-speedy-coming-soon namespace and are discovered through the shared connection.

Safety

The abilities require sscs_manage, granted to administrators automatically. MailerLite and Turnstile secrets are write-only and masked on reads; writing the mask back preserves the stored secret. Disabling the honeypot requires explicit confirmation because rate limiting would become the public form’s remaining built-in protection.

When MCP does not cover the task

Use browser control to test the signup experience or edit an individual product. Restricted SSH can help with provider callback or PHP logs, but ordinary waitlist reporting and shared settings should stay within MCP.

Troubleshooting the connection

  • If the abilities are missing, activate or update Super Speedy Coming Soon and restart the AI assistant.
  • If connection generation is unavailable, check HTTPS and WordPress Application Password support.
  • If a product is absent from the list, confirm its Coming Soon product field is enabled rather than changing the global form settings.
