Choose the workflow that fits your imports
For an occasional catalogue upload in WooCommerce’s standard format, its built-in importer offers a direct path: upload the file, review the recognised columns and run the import. In this walkthrough all 51 columns mapped automatically. The completed import contained 18 products and seven variations. A second file updated three prices by SKU while retaining the same product records.
Super Speedy Imports is designed for repeat work as well as the first upload. Its automatic configuration reads sample values alongside column headings. Review the mappings together, create a real draft of the first complete product, then save the import for later runs. For a variable product, the preview includes its variations. Once configured, scheduling, completion emails, daily summaries and import history stay inside WordPress.
The walkthrough uses WooCommerce 10.5.3 and previously verified Super Speedy Imports 2.94.4 footage. It is separate from the large-catalogue speed test below. Both tools imported the unchanged sample catalogue; the historical benchmark used a larger deterministic catalogue and the versions stated in its results.
Measured import speed
| Importer | Version tested | Fresh import: 5,000 variable products + 50,000 variations |
|---|---|---|
| Super Speedy Imports | 2.87.4 | 11m 57s |
| WooCommerce built-in importer | 11.0.1 | 27m 30s |
Historical four-vCPU Hetzner benchmark without image downloads. Each tool used its supported CSV format for the same 55,000-row catalogue. Super Speedy Imports also imported brands and external image URL metadata, and completed selected lookup/recount jobs. See the benchmark for exact timings, settings and correctness checks.

What do others say about Super Speedy Imports?
We've been using this plugin on our live site for a few weeks now and it's been a phenomenal game changer for us. Before with WP All Import, importing products from a supplier would take so long that by the time the import was done, it wasn't even accurate anymore. It was also taking so many resources that our backend would slowly crawl and was near unusable. Now, imports take a few minutes and we can run imports multiple times a day and can keep our products very up to date. We're still moving some imports from WP All Import over to this, but this plugin has been amazing for us. Thank you so much!
This plugin is amazing! I was using WP All Import and my import job took over an hour. With Super Speedy Imports it is taking 111 seconds! That is not a typo. I verified the data. Just amazing. I can fully recommend this plugin.
Super Speedy Imports has made a huge difference in how we manage our large WooCommerce catalog. We're able to update thousands of products incredibly quickly, and the support has been outstanding. Dave has personally worked through a few issues with us, listened to our feedback, and released fixes extremely quickly. It's rare to get this level of support directly from a developer. Very happy with both the plugin and the support!
