Overview of Perfmatters
Perfmatters is a lightweight performance plugin that reduces WordPress bloat and speeds up your site. It lets you disable unused WordPress features and scripts on a per-post or per-page basis to reduce HTTP requests.
How Scalability Pro differs from Perfmatters
All plugins from Super Speedy Plugins share a SQL-first architecture and an uncompromising focus on performance — and Scalability Pro is no different. Here is what sets it apart:
Your site was fast when it was small. Now archive pages, imports and wp-admin screens are waiting on the database. Scalability Pro adds the indexes WordPress leaves out, stops it counting rows nobody reads, and defers the work that turns an import into an overnight job.
How to choose between Perfmatters and Scalability Pro?
Scale is where most plugins start to struggle, and exactly where Scalability Pro was designed to thrive. Unlike Perfmatters, every Scalability Pro release is stress-tested against a one-million-product WooCommerce store before it reaches your server. If your load times have been creeping upwards as your catalogue grows, migration is simpler than you might fear — and a free trial means you can confirm the improvement on staging before making any commitment.
What do others say about Scalability Pro?
Dave has made some tremendous products. Scalability pro is one of those. I didn’t think my project would work considering how many products I planned to have. Salability pro allowed me to upload 97,000 records. With Dave’s community and support I was able to make additional optimizations that helped me discover what was really required to boost the speed of my uploads and actually allow them to complete without failing. Check out his guides too for import speed, server configurations, and server optimizations. Now everything is fast. Excited for the future.
This one saved my a$$! I'm using it on large woocommerce (around 50K product variations). Improved import speed more then 3x. Thank you Dave and wpintense team!
I purchased Scalability Pro as an experiment to see how it affected WP ALL IMPORT. It managed to turn a 3 day stock sync process into a 1 hour process. It has also sped up WooCommerce pages significantly. I am now in the process of adding WP Scalability Pro to my other websites so they can benefit.

What's new in Scalability Pro?
6.38.0 (30th October 2026)
- *Alter main query to use EXISTS rather than LEFT JOIN* leaves pages Super Speedy Filters serves from its own index to Super Speedy Filters, so they no longer carry an extra product visibility check.
6.37.11 (30th October 2026)
- Fixed database errors about missing `scalability_pro_post_count_cache` and `scalability_pro_transient_cache` tables after activating Scalability Pro with WP-CLI: activation creates the cache tables before anything uses them.
6.37.10 (29th October 2026)
- Updated super-speedy-settings to 1.14.3: update downloads now send the licence key in a request header instead of the download URL.
6.37.9 (29th October 2026)
- Fixed native WordPress search running slower with Scalability Pro's indexes installed on large stores: the `wpi_scalability_pro_sitemaps` index now leads with `post_type` and is rebuilt automatically after updating.
6.37.8 (29th October 2026)
- Reworded the *Alter main query to use EXISTS rather than LEFT JOIN* description: it changes how the SQL is written, never which products are shown.
