Overview of FiboSearch
FiboSearch is a fast and flexible AJAX product search plugin for WooCommerce. It provides real-time search suggestions with product images, supports SKU search, category and attribute filtering, and is built for performance.
How Super Speedy Search differs from FiboSearch
All plugins from Super Speedy Plugins share a SQL-first architecture and an uncompromising focus on performance — and Super Speedy Search is no different. Here is what sets it apart:
Shoppers leave when search is slow, irrelevant or cannot find the words they use. Super Speedy Search replaces WordPress’s table-scanning search with a dedicated index, then lets you control what matches and what ranks first.
How to choose between FiboSearch and Super Speedy Search?
Scale is where most plugins start to struggle, and exactly where Super Speedy Search was designed to thrive. Unlike FiboSearch, every Super Speedy Search release is stress-tested against a one-million-product WooCommerce store before it reaches your server. If your load times have been creeping upwards as your catalogue grows, migration is simpler than you might fear — and a free trial means you can confirm the improvement on staging before making any commitment.
What do others say about Super Speedy Search?
I already use a couple of products from Dave so when I need a good search plugin for a busy ecom website I didn't need to look any further. I am not as techy as some of the people here, but I had that search up and running in minutes. It works really well, its fast and it does everything you would want (& more) from a search plugin. Excellent – thank you
Super Speedy Search + Scalability Pro are an amazing combo for any WooCommerce site. The Ajax search of Super Speedy Search is a game changer that can make your site stand out from others and also get users to the correct item amazingly fast. I also highly recommend Super Speedy Imports if you have any recurring import jobs. We had an import that took over an hour that now takes less than 3 minutes. No exaggeration. Over 8000 items fully updated in just a few minutes. Truly Amazing!
Our current WP websites have been really laggy and despite switching to more powerful servers, we kept encountering bottlenecks until we found WPI. We are currently using Super Speedy Search + Scalability Pro and it has been phenomenal with the performance improvements! Across 2 of our websites on 1 server, we are looking at 90k MAU with 6k products total. Dave has also been a great help with any bugs during the setup process – really speedy response and he sure knows what he is doing!

What's new in Super Speedy Search?
5.96.2 (3rd November 2026)
- Updated super-speedy-settings to 1.14.5: creating the MCP connection now needs permission to add users, so a multisite sub-site administrator cannot create the agent account when the network does not allow it.
5.96.1 (2nd November 2026)
- Fixed live search returning "Too many search requests" to shoppers behind Sucuri, QUIC.cloud, Bunny or Fastly, which now limit each visitor by their own address.
5.96.0 (2nd November 2026)
- Fixed a `post_type` in the search URL matching post types that are not searchable, such as WooCommerce coupons.
- Fixed password-protected posts appearing in search results and live search excerpts for visitors who have not entered the password.
- Fixed search terms in the Search Analytics table, meta key names in the Meta Search list, search box shortcode attributes and combination suggestion names being read as HTML.
- The Relevance Coach and the `sss/test-query` ability now search only searchable post types, and the coach saves only published posts to its history.
- Fixed WooCommerce order searches with another filter, such as `wc_get_orders()` with `customer`, returning orders outside that filter; those searches now use WooCommerce's own order query.
- New setting *Limit long searches to their first 20 words*, on by default: a front-end or live search longer than 20 words or 256 bytes searches its first 20 words, with no error shown.
- Live search requests are limited to 300 a minute per visitor on sites with a persistent object cache such as Redis, answering HTTP 429 beyond that; sites without one are not limited.
- Search Analytics now removes terms searched only once and not seen for 90 days, and keeps every term with a redirect or cache rule.
- Fixed a saved meta key containing an apostrophe causing a database syntax error in index rebuilds, and in searches when *Split meta search* is on.
- Escaped the remaining settings page values.
- Updated super-speedy-settings to 1.14.4, which no longer ships the update checker's developer build script.
